rangimotors wrote:if someone in the area has a dehumidifier it works really well to put them in the cab with the doors and windows closed for a few days, it will help to dry out the wiring loom and plugs and stop them corroding.
Nothing worse then getting it all back together and having endless electrical issues.
Great job guys

righto then, down tp the nitty gritty of it
had a bloody busy day today at work so did not get much looked at, but did get most of motor stripped down........
it may be a bit blurry, but if you look close enough, you will see balck marks on the pulleys and one on the block in a different place, this is far as the crank turns round. It isabout 20mm away from doing one complete revolution, so it seems we may have a couple of bent rods or something. We suspect the middle 2 pistons due to them being the ones that don't do a full cycle.......
the head seems fine. The camshaft spins freely and all the valves look like they are doing what they are supposed to do with no odd movements or anything like that. A clean up and it should be good.............
I will be pulling sump off on Wednesday night to investigate deeper and hopefully having an accurate answer to the inability to turn over and then the list of bits will be made and sought![]()
