Can anybody please give me some advice on how to go about replacing the original fan with an electric unit on a ln130 hilux, 3l.

hey mate,pretty easy job
1-sort out a depth of fan you can use and source one
2-what most guys do is mount the fan to a sheet of aluminum or something similar which then bolts to rad
3-wire it up
if doing alot of water crossings most guys wire power to the dash to a switch,from there they then send that power to a heat switch.that then goes to a relay which then goes to fan,some guys such as myself also run power from 1st switch to a second which then goes directly to the relay,ie manual start / stop
