On the 6th we had a soft road trip to MT Field which is on the edge of our great world heritage area, we played in the snow then went through the giant tree reserve.
On the 12th we did a trip to Murdunna which is about an hours drive from Hobart. It is a 3rd gen working regrowth forest. An absolutely great time was had except son found out that the GQ wont float  and has a high tide mark up to just below the gear shifts and he also found all the old used coffee cups as they floated out from under the seats  As he was lead he ended up in a very nasty quicksand type clay hole and it took some very inventive winching to retrieve the GQ, pics will be put up soon.

You could have posted a more flattering pic of me but there again with an ugly mug like mine that would be impossible   That really was one nasty hole, the sludge was bubbling up out of the ground faster than we could shovel it away so,it took tiangular winch rigging and another 12000lb winch on another 4x4 to get the GQ out.But it was a great trip.
ps I dont have a fat neck either it is a neck brace
If you have the time you may like to put up the rest of the pics so members can see our beautiful forest.
