Monster 150 Air Compressor - Traxion

Post by SirGerald »

Hi all

Looking at mounting my old bushranger air compressor into my truck as I have built the roll cage to be my air tank (had originally planned to use engine mounted air comp but no room)

As it is a trials truck not looking to pump all 4 up from 3psi but will need to pump up and down during the day as well as use to pump up after replacing tubes etc.

My old Bush Ranger pumps out at about 35litres per min I think but have come across this one that does 150 litres per min and costs around the $250 mark.

Has anyone used one before??

Anyone got any advise if they are any good or not as appear to be a heap higher flow rate compared to others.

I have the arb high output comp and it blows about 72lpm, best thing is it comes with all the required loom and pressure switches all set up and if it dies arb have most stuff in stock to fix it. Only neg is they are about $400 notes :( but hey luckily for me the dumb asses who stripped my truck didnt know what it was and left it there

If its the same as the projecta typhoon (assuming since the link above goes to info on that pump.. i cant view the pdf) then its a very good pump. Australian 4wd action magazine No131 tested a whole bunch and this pump was recommended and they said its speed and consistency were noticeable standouts.

Hope this helps.
