Nissan Parts rip off

Need a new uni joint for the pto shaft ,so off to Drive line Sorry cant help seems they are an odd ball size ,checked with just about every body in the yellow pages, same deal nobody can supply .Gave Nissan a ring ,Yep can do the complete shaft only ex Japan for $6000 plus gst ,what world do these people live in ? if anyone has any leads as to where i can get a set or two it would be very much appreciated .

What size are they? Try Farmpart. If they don't have any that small Andrew or Gav will probably know where to steer you.

spanner bearings in hanilton also do smaller uni's there about 500 a pop though

will toyota etc ones fit?, may be worth investigating....maybe parts from teh same supplier common to both?
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

Im calling around to a mates on the weekend who has a selection of Toyota shafts ,with a bit of luck i may be able to graft a toyota shaft onto the nissan one ,

89 safari, pto winch, 33x15 simexs. sliders,75mm lift . turbo intercoolered

There is a guy in the Hutt that is an engineer and may be able to help you. He builds tuff trucks. If you are interested can give you his contact details.

Hi West Auckland,Had a quick look at a Toyota shaft today and with a bit of work it is do able ,If i cant sort some second hand shafts or new UJs ill end up going down that path ,at least Mr Toyota used a standard size thats available ..
I should add its not such a biggy to mod the shafts as i have to do one shaft anyway as ive just spent the last few weeks shifting the PTO into the rear ,Bugger all room esp with an elec high mount in the rear also ...

6k for new shafts,, you could buy a whole spare truck for half that.
Theres a complete pto here if you need one.

the drivers side widow on our focus died in the weekend the seel track the window slides on and the cables unit ford spare parts $395.00 :shock: :shock:
