Running in petefj40 bros concrete pad

Post by petefj40 »

This is the very first spin up.
Bro wasn't keen to hook second. He wants the pad to harden fully first.
This will be far from the best spin up you'll see on it.
I'd only give this one a 5 outta 10....

Pitty you can't get the smell of rubber watching this clip.
Sorry about the low res.

Yeah, I had a permeant grin on my face till that happened Mike.

Nah, he was using my old momo rims and some used rubber.
Those tires didn't even blow. If he had of hooked 2nd, then it would of been a different story.

I thought I did but nah damn it. The spare 40's rear hubs aren't full floating ones.

Had to tack on a bit steel to pull it out.

So if anyone has a spare right hand rear axle in Chch I'd be happy to pay you good money for it.
Cheers.

Try this guy for any 40 series cruiser parts (or XD XE XF Falcon)

Robbie Mulligan 03 312 5064 (home) or 03 313 7215 (work) or027 211 4006 (cell)
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

ahh skids are fun :D

I do kinda miss my skid car at times, it nice to be able to shred a set of tyres in a few minutes on a pad, or 10 mins on a racetrack :D
