VH45 run off factory computer

Has anyone run a VH45 off the factory computer without the original auto behind it?

It is easy as there is a seperate computer for the engine and the trans. I'm using an Autronic ecu not factory but i know a few guys that are running manuals behind VH45 and are using factory ecu.

Yeah my oldman has one, it runs sweet as and is even pretty economical.
He had a uncut loom and everything was pretty straight forward.
