I used a heatgun on low heat, and was able to pull the vinyl off quite cleanly. I've managed to get the glue off one door with non acetone nail polish remover, but it took forever! will get round to the rest eventually.

Have since discovered that double sided tape put on in japan is more of a prick lol

Ive heard that eucalyptis oil removes that stuff REALLY well - and is safe on paint...

Not untill just now I've looked it up on the DOC website
That's not a good look, new to this sport and already breaking the rules..
We did it ages ago on mountain bikes and saw a bunch of 4x4s going through so didn't even think about it... oops
I can see why tho, we got about 5km in and just didn't have the right tyres so had to turn around :( Would be fun to do with a bunch of guys who know what they are doing tho, at the right time of year

Hi piebuss

Nice shot from the 42nd. Yeah who'da thought it'd be closed, but yes it is.
I too have done it on mountain bike a few years back.
Have at the beggining of the year done it in 4x4. Was real easy, however some of the side tracks to the old hut are more challenging.

We ran out of time to go any further so are planning to give it another go sometime. Drop me a line if you (or anyone else for that matter) are interested in joining the group.

Got this last week, 1995 Terrano (i like the facelift rounder dash better) 2.7 Diesel Turbo Manual, pretty much standard for now, not going to do too much to it, just enough to have some fun: mud tyres, snorkel, spotties, lift kit :)

Here are a couple of pics of my old Safari. Will have some up of the new Patrol soon

Sold it for $9,000 about 7weeks ago.

1993 Nissan Safari Grandroad

Had LWB springs, 32inch Bridgestone MT, PTO Winch, exhaust. Went anywhere I wanted it to go.

And YES that is a "BABY ON BOARD" sign on the back and YES my 11month old was in the back haha its the only thing we can do where she will sit in the car for a long period of time and not complain.

Just before I sold it was the pics of me at woodhill

came out nice with 4 hours of washing 2 cans of wet look silicone spray and 1 pot of cleaing wips. :)
