Food drive was great with about 30 trucks from the Waikato, NZ Jeep and Cozzies, and Gordon Burnside (Egmont Club), who made the trek all the way from the 'naki to help contribute.
The Sallies ended up with somewhere areound 5000 cans of food to add to their coffers, which is no mean feat and Im sure is well recieved.
Special thanks must go to Bryan Williams to whom this brain-child belongs. This is the second year, and was a vast difference from last year with quite a few more donations/trucks attending... may it long continue.

Today we ventured to Roto-o-rangi, (with 36 competitors) to the farm of Dave and Linda Curin for a play. With 7 hazards and two speed sections spread over two of their maize paddocks, fun was had by all. There was a short bog/hole, a long bog, log climb, tyre climb, axle twister, and simple up-and-over and a little bumpy speed section. The two further speed sections consisted of a kydney shaped circuit (best time over two laps was 1.26 set by an ex speedway driver - stand up and take a bow nibbla... ****ing awesome) and a side by side drag strip.
Full results will be in the Waikato 4x4 clubs mag (sorry Grant, dont know the name of it).
HUGE thanks have to go to the following for making the whole weekend an utterly awesome event.
Bryan Williams for starting it all off
Grant Bucket (Waikato 4x4) and Pete Walton (Cossie 4-wheelers) for getting thier respective clubs involved. And extra thanks to Grant for his stewardship over the course of day 2.
The 3 marshalls, big ups, great job standing in the sun all day, and without your assistance it would be chaotic.
And finally (again) Dave and Linda, for kindly allowing us the use of your property. Your generosity is humbly appreciated.
(I need to put a little pump in here for Hirepool TeRapa and Henderson rentals, for kindly donating the portaloo. People often take the necessity to relieve themselves for granted, until it comes time that they have too.... then the humble mobile crapper is the best thing in the world!!!!!!)
All in all it was a fantastic two days, and really showed the great spirit that exists in the 4x4 community proven by 3 clubs getting together for a common goal, and having a whale of a time doing it.
Cheers to all who participated and assisted.

Managed to attend both days. Truck is under repair from the last Jeep Club trip but caught a lift with xj on Saturday and popped out on Sunday to watch some of the fun day with the wife in her tonka toy.
To those who organised this event, hats off. It was just great. The Sunday was even better and I am going to be a starter for next year, for sure.

Interesting day out on Sunday, was kool driving man made hazards, loved the pile of log's and the tyres
Clutch didn't like the straight drag's much, in my excitement i roasted it off the start line on the first run and it packed up half way down the strip as i flat changed it into third and that was the end of it for a while
Lots of fun, cheers to the organisers
