using a mini-spool to lock a diff
Hi I've just bought a Jeep CJ3B with later model dana 44 diffs fitted front and rear. As it's used only in mud and grass, I'm thinking a locked rear would be the go, what's the advantages of a fully locked diff to a sometimes locked diff? ie, spool verser locker? The mini spools and full spools seem to be a lot cheaper than any other option. Can a locked diff be a disadvantage sometimes? Still in the learning how to drive phase so there's mud flying everywhere...yeah!
