help need a td27t motor

hi ive just bought a 1988 nissan datsun d/c ute and it got a td23 in it and its so slow its a joke. Ive been given all the turbo bits of a terrano and was gana tubo the rd23 but i dont know if its a good idea or not. I paid $2300 for the ute and it has brand new BFG 31x10.5 tyres allso has 15x8 alloys flares and it all certed

Cheers m8. I got one , pulled the old 2.3 out today and put the 2.7 turbo in it shes all go and seems good just a few little jobs to do sort. I wouldnt want to do it again tho was a bit of a bastard to do

I'm about to do this swap soon so I'm really keen to hear what was the hard part and what you would do differently. also about the wiring the alternator look like to be just a straight plug in job but the diesel pump has different wires on it how did ya get on with that ?

ok this is how it went. First of all i cant realy think of a easyer way todo it. Ive been told you drop the front diff down. But i think its better to take the whole thing out then you have plenty of room. apart from that its a staright bolt in.I do have a plug that comes off the td27 injector pump that my ute doesnt have a plug for but its running with out it and runs good as. The only thing is my rev counter doesnt go anymore.

Oh yea i had to use my power steer pump as the bracketing for it didnt suit the td27 :D

the diesel pump wires at the back of the pump pluged straight into my mine. the wires ontop of the td27 pump you wont beable to hook up i dont know what the are for someone may know. It does run so mustnt be important??

That's awesome thanks for that, in adding a intercooler to mine as well as a new dump pipe as the terrano one is the shittiest one Ive seen. its only about 35mm deep so i think it quite a restriction
