Maxis Buckshot Mudder

Post by gary_in_nz »

was thinking of getting some Buckshot mudders mainly to use as road tires and those "safari" style trips in the summer as i dont need to use my extreme tires for driving around on gravel roads.

New price for 35x12.5 15's $340 each. this a good deal??

also wondering how many road km's you get out of them as i am really after the longest lasting 35x12.5 i can get.

Not sure on price, but I ran 33's on my GQ, and wear was the best I've had. Did over 30k on them when sold, and not even half worn.

are you able to post pic of the buckshot mudder

I believe they are the same as the nankang mudstar and if they are, you just got me excited, coz I've had 33s on my cruisers for 4 years now(same set) and they are only half worn if that and are a bloody good tyre

didnt know you could get 35s, now I'm excited

They are the same pattern, but nankang only go upto 33s so if you want 35s you need the buckshot

I've got Maxxis Mudders on my old Disco, replaced Duellers ATs. Like gary wants to do I use them as dailys & for 'safari' trips and the odd mud hole. Done about 2000km so far & happy with them. A bit noisier on the tarmac & not quite so sure footed on some corners as youd expect but not bad for a moderately priced MT.

just be aware about sizes .....

i had 31 10.5 15s on my cruiser for a bit and they were substantially smaller than most other 31's

A round piece of wood would of behaved better on the road than the brand new swampers I had. ya expect that with extremes tho
