I'm not going to be able to do any trips for the rest of the month (and probably most of next month) but atleast when I'm back out, I'll have more traction and power steering
Odlins road may be a goer if this weather keeps up and dumps plenty of snow up there.
Anyone in Upper Hutt or Waikanae know if the Akatarawa Hill Road is open at the moment?

I am keen either way. Got a brand new set of mud tyres I haven't used in anger yet. Was a bit peeved off at being sick last weekend and missing out on Aotea so am looking forward to some mud this weekend.
Let it rain...

With all this rain its going to be really slippery up there. Tell me you are going to let your tires down zigen this time I'm going to run mine around 12psi I think
bought me a lil 12v air compressor from work the other day, so am going to be having a play with the hilux and wiring it in, so will need to test it out.
mike dont go down that low bud stay above 15 man youle just jam shit into youre beads it anit worth it for the performance it will give, also have the risk of twisting tubes thats if youre running tubes of course
the gate is locked, but there is access through an opening, but if you are caught in there without a key or permission, you could get into alot of trouble, depending when you wanted to go, i could come and meet you there an unlock the gate.
my cell number is 0272158399 if you wanna meet up, otherwise il be there from roughly about 6:45ish onwards, but will come back to the gate at about 7pm to unlock/wait for people.

I used to run my LR ones at 6psi on a regular basis, but maybe I'll wont go below 15 as these are my only tires at the moment
had a good nite guys, but im never going to suggest anyone ever does anthing again. it always ends up with someone getting stuck! ill just have to learn to keep quiet in the future... ill sow the seeds in other peoples minds the let themdecide.
the worst part was that i drove to burgerfuel, but they were closed.
was a good night, bit longer than anticipated though Sitting in a bog hole, that I didnt want to enter but had no choice in the end, for two hours wasnt that appealing though. That block and its hill climbs are sooo o much more fun in the wet......just not the holes designed for short wheel base vehicles. A little mishap with a sliding zuk with a battering ram on the front has acclerated the need for a front winch bar now though and new headlight. If anyone knows where to get a cheap head light for a 93 surf from dont hold back
those photos... i think my exact words were "dont worry, i did it last weekend, it'll be an easy recovery" two hrs later and we were still at the same hole... but then again, i didnt force him into the hole... just a lil encourage ment.
Somebody give me a call next time something like that happens, because those pics are'nt good enough , and theres a couple of trucks up the road (patrol runs and is dry (enough) )
yep, another good night out.
the weather made it quite a bit more interesting too, i really need to get new tyres on the hilux so i can have a bit of fun without sliding everywhere.
might be time to get some winches as well and a couple of anchors.
