I picked up a brand spanking EWX9500-Q for $800 and I've got the Runva mounting plate for it to. I want to put it on the Prado which has the standard bumper. Basically what do I have to do? I think there are some holes on the bottom of the chassis rails which the plate can be bolted to, but then the winch will be hanging underneath. Is that ok? Or should it be up on top? Which will involve a bit more cutting me thinks. If it goes underneath, only the bumper has to be cut to accommodate the fairlead.
So whats everyone else done? Photos are good too

Bill, do you have a pic of your custom bar? Cheers Rowan
I run a pto so a bit different but went full custom bar, handles running along clay banks and the odd tree alot better than the standard bumper. Also better approach angle.
