really glad i stumbled upon this forum it's awesome.
I'm an Irish..... soon to be resident kiwi and have been in New zealand about 2.5 years .i bought a 92 hilux surf 2dr 2.0ltr manual petrol about 8 mths ago and i would like to put it to some of its intended use ... i recently brought it for a warrant and was sad to hear it had a leaky shock and heaps of play in the front wheels . So instead of replacing the ball joints and the leaky shock with two standard front shocks i put a whole set of raw shocks (front and rear) with new springs with 60mm lift
.. it then looked a tad strange on the skinny factory chrome rims with 30 x9.5s 
so i went looking for some new boots and bought a set of 31 x 10.5 buckshot mudders with white rims and whaddya know ..i'm over 2k down but i have a semi capable 4x4 
... Red Rocks has been about as adventurous that i have been so far but I would love the opportunity to join some experienced drivers and see some more of what welly has to offer.
my main hobby is kayak fishing and would love to suss out some interesting spots along the coast to launch my yak while getting some off road action in too
. there is heeps of good guys on here , and keep a eye open on the forums for trips around the area 
and ate the last of our STALE jaffa cakes . the missus had them stashed in the bedroom for about a year... the best before was in april
