Terrano with Auto box problem

Post by TerranomanUK »

Can anyone help?

I have a Terrano 3.0litre TD automatic which has developed a fault.

Recently the fuse blew number 8 (10Amp) UK model.

causing not power to the auto box for starting

Replaced fuse but now seems to have a problem as if it is limp home mode and wont come out of forward gear.

I've got no reverse or neutral and had to turn off the overdrive to get it to drive even half decent.

I am unable to locate the TCM to test any voltages.

I am now turning to the international Nissan group for help as these excellent motors don't seem to have the support here like some other countries.

Does anyone have any idea's?

UPDATE

I have had the battery disconnected for the night and this still did not clear the fault.

We have tonight put it on a PC and found everything seems to be working OK but it is stuck in first gear even though the TCM is showing the gears are changing.

Does anyone know where I can get a Consult II cable from prefer usb one?

Any idea's about the fault?

Cheers

Mark

Further update;

Cleaned filter out but still stuck in gear. Anyone have any further advise?

Next option tow to garage but they said possibly new box at £2500
