FJ40 wagon roof and windscreen wanted

Post by Mongoose »

As above, need a wagon roof panel, not necessarily sides as I have them just the top bit that stops the rain coming in. Also looking for a windscreen, not bothered what kind of condition the surround is in as mine is good, just lacking the essential glassy bit in the middle.
It's a '76 with the wipers and motor at the bottom if that makes any difference. Also have a FJ45 truck cab back and roof which I intended to fit to mine but decided to go with the full cab so would be willing to swap if anyone fancies something a bit different. Comes with shaped bit of galvanised steel to fill in between the back of the cab and the floor.

Hope someone can help out, Canterbury area would be best but I can travel if necessary.
Cheers,
Greg.

Thanks for the link Muddy, forgot the auction was closing and missed out by one dollah!
It is a swb niblik and still looking yup. Windscreen is probably more important as I might just drive it around without the roof for a while but it's not really the time of year for doing that for too long.

Cheers

That sounds sweet, is that fitted or just supply? Could you chuck some contact details into a post for me and I'll give you a ring or an email.
Actually found a windscreen and roof which came attached to an FJ40 with a 302 Windsor V8 and Bronco running gear on Trademe so I bought that.
I planned to break it and use the engine, windscreen and roof on my FJ but it's really too good to break so I'll probably keep it in one piece, the engine is certified in there so it's pointless taking it out really. So now I've got two FJ40s to fix up.

Cheers.

Really appreciate that, if you can let me know where you are I'll bring the frame into work one day and drop it in, I live out of town but work at the Uni so I'm in CHCH every weekday. Do you need some time to get the glass in stock?

Cheers for the help.

Canterbury Windscreens 11a Dakota Crescent (off Haytons Rd) Screens for 40 series are flat so we cut to fit, so if you have the broken screen we can use it for a pattern. No problem if you don't though. Also make sure you bring the rubber in as well! Ask for Craig or Jason(me).

Hi Jason, I've never had any glass in the frame at all as I bought the truck basically in bits from a guy who'd started to restore it but never reassembled it. I'll give you a ring later in the week and arrange to drop the frame off.

Thanks very much.

Hey Jason, I am comin to take you up on your offer really I am. Just got a bit distracted with the supposed parts truck I bought with a Windsor V8 in it. Too many projects, not nearly enough time.....
Now I have a bloody Mu as well, really must sell the Surf, build a garage.....
I'll probably give you a ring at some point next week and arrange to bring the frame in.

Cheers mate.
