Strange tread block wear
Strange tread block wear
Got some odd wear on my front tyres, on the inner row of blocks, all the even blocks are worn lower than the odd blocks, but are all flat not feathered or uneven. This is only on the fronts and only the insides. Any ideas what would cause this? Tyres are nankang n889s in 33x12.5s

I have started doing that and the tread ware seams to be a lot more even

A mate had that on his L200 ute running Firestone ATX tyres.
The tyre guy told him his shocks were worn and caused the unusual wear.
Don't know if i believe that or not

whats sort of life should you be getting out of shocks.. i know safaris kill them a bit quicker due to where they are attached.. but surely should see more than a year out of a set. although i'd believe it with the state of the roads round here

The life of your shocks could be anything, pop one end off all of them all and push the shaft in and out and see if they still have any dampening in them
