Bobtailed Hilux Surf

Post by GotFlex »

my mate wants to bobtail his 85 Toyota Hilux Surf, i talked to the wof guys and he rekons as long as we dont touch the chassie we should be fine, i know not many of you guys would have done this but would the chassie need much taken out? wof guy rekons the tidier we make the more likely he wont fail it as it will look standard, to the untrained toyota eye, got pics anyone? Or is this definataly a cert issue?

Cheers

you can cut about 300mm off the rear which takes you back to the end of the chassis rails, no cert needed if you only cutting the body im sure. monaro on here has done his and has a write up is http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/ ... =18&t=5071

that will be sweet then, 300mm is approx 12inchs and anything over 8" looks silly IMO
