I went EFS, 3 inch in the back and 4 inch in the front and am more than happy

Yep, good discussion in that thread. I find I have good articulation in the rear, but the front is a different story. I am looking at going down the 80 sersis in the front. The front, as it is just keeps throwing the truck around if you know what I mean, Reefton Challenge was a good example.

Re: GQ rear Shocks
The 80 series front helps a lot with the front topping out the shocks and so makes the ride a LOT smoother and keeps the wheels on the ground.
GQ rear is pretty good so just get shocks (GQ) that suit the lift you have. There doesn't appear to be much gained front playing around unless you go to coil overs etc. But I think with 3" lift you are at the point you need to look at modifying your bumpstops.

Re: GQ rear Shocks
I found running a slightly heavier set of coils in the rear made a big difference. Forced the front to work more, was more stable, and didn't lose any flex from the rear

Would I get away with fitting 80 series shocks with just 25mm body lift? Also for some reason I remember someone saying to fit 80 series bump stops too, or am I getting confused?

Re: GQ rear Shocks
A lot of people run the 80 series bumpstops too, as they are longer than the Safari ones, which will stop the shocks bottoming out and destroying themselves
Re: GQ rear Shocks
You need to work out the closed length difference between the shocks and that is how much you need to rause the shock tower. But then you also need to work out when coil bind happens and set your bumpstop before that point. Then you can set the shock tower height to the bump stop.
With a 2" lift then bumpstop height is fine and if you use an 80 series shock for a 50mm lift you need to raise the shock tower by about 55 to 60mm. With a 25mm body lift you will need to cut a hole in the inner guard to allow this. Hole saw would do this in a tidy manner.
With 3" or more you need to look very closely at coil bind as that could be happening before the factory bumpstops.
