STOLEN

Post by swampa »

just had two of our bikes stolen sometime today from the garage, 2 brand new kdx 200's 10 hours use, bummer, i also had a drz400, set of 40's in the garage and thousands of dollars of tools in there, they knew what they were after, both insured though, some people got no respect for people or posessions!

id be making sure its real secure now, theres every chance they could come back if they saw what else you had....

theres certainly some scumbags around, and the courts dont do sweet f$%k all about it.

Which part of the country are you in?

There was a mad run of this a couple of years back. People were targeting garages in South Canterbury. They seemed to be pretty professional.

Sucks that it's taking advantage of people's trust in their neighbourhood. So many people in rural areas leave garages unlocked or windows open and then get some loser ruining it for them. Sad.

Its not uncommon for them to wait 6 weeks and come back for the replacements :?

If you replace the bikes it dosent hurt to store them somewhere else for a while

In property its a good market. If I was looking at extending my portfolio outside this area I'd consider there

went and had a look at one of them today, all our bikes are chained to the ground using high tensile chain, they definitely tried but gave up, last year when they got our bikes was around 25k, this time i would say, 8 to 10k

we used to have a pitbull, got rid of that a few years ago, it was just like having a loaded gun walking around the house, they cut the locks with bolt cutters, as they say, you can only kkeep an honest theif out

Decent door with a shielded lock and if possible an in-door type lock ( deadbolt style )
Also throw in an alarm to let everyone know whats going on.
Yes you are right you will never stop these wankers especially when you have something that is easy to sell ... and there are wankers that are willing to buy stuff that on price alone has to have been stolen

It's all about making it harder and increasing the chance of them getting caught .
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.
