Air Tank Pressure Switch

Post by SirGerald »

Hi just wondering if anyone knows anywhere to source one of these that has a lower psi off position

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =247224462

Have found one on a usa website that switches on at 90 and off at 105psi which is ideally what I would like to reduce stress on the compressor.

I like this design as it is nice and small compared to the bigger black box adjustable switches.

a few guys round here have been using these with no issues at all, i havn't seen any in nz at the lower pressure either. a few custom car shops sell switches for their air bag systems so maybe they are worth a phone call??

Liam had swimming in the next half of the pool. Was going to catch up after your swim but missed you.

Will get hold of Euan and see if he can track down the one you have.

Yeah you'll get an 80/105 pressure switch from autokraft, I had to replace mine a couple of years ago, wasnt the cheapest thing I've brought, I think they charged between $60-80 (????) but its a nessecary item so I just paid them and took it home

I bought a heap from Ebay Aussie a while back and on sold to members on here that were what you are after. I cannot remember the cost, but it was quite cheap from memory.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Talked to Euan and all sorted now. Unfortunately had to get the truck running properly for the weekend so the pressure switch is going to have to wait a few weekends until money frees up.

Will just run the compressor manually this weekend and try and get it auto for colyton.

latest aus 4wd mag has a full page ad for some dudes selling bits and pieces and in the bottom right corner they list pressure switches 70 on/110off. Reasonable price too from memory.

When I find the mag (if I didnt leave it at work) I'll grab the details for you if you want them.

What did you use for a tank? Got the comp but need a bigger reservoir for it now.

keep in mind that if you use one of those smaller switches you will also have to use a relay.

With the bigger black adjustable boxes (those that come with compressors) no relay is needed.

Thats flipping cheap those from the 4H place. Kinda tempted to order ten and flick them on TM.
