extending front shock mounts

Post by J_Dub »

now that i got a body lift in i have a bit of room above my front shock mounts... I want to raise the mounts so that i have more travel and because i want to keep using commodore shocks in the front cause they are so damn cheap, they give shit loads a down travel, but about 50mm short of the bumpstops on the up , anybody done this? obviously a cert mod but thats cool, am i able to put the mount through the wheel arch?????

yea something like that, though i think ive only gota go about 50mm higher, enough so that bumpstops hit just before the shock fully compresses, so might just be able to raise the mounts without going through the wheel arches

my mate did what you want, he cut about 2 inches down from the top off and bent up a peice of steel so it match in the middle and welded it all up, with some paaint and mud it looks standard
