Wanted, Nissan Patrol/Safari .4.2

Hi,

Getting sick of looking for a Safari/Patrol and having no wheels in the meantime so I am going to buy any cheap looking thing I can find and sit and wait till a decent Patrol / safari or VX comes up rather than buy out of impatience.

In the meantime if anyone hears of a decent one for sale I'm all ears. Would like one with a 4.2 and diff lock and bit of a suspension lift etc. No rust or signs of hard life but slightly scruffy is OK if the rest of it is sound mechanically.. Obviously a winch or any other bits or peices would be a big bonus. Prefer the ones that have the grey dash (post 89?) rather than the brown ones and a granroad or equivalent.

Prepared to wait for one at a decent price. I have seen them around, just not when I was ready to buy, so let me know if you see one for sale.

I know of a early 90s petrol set up for duel fuel but currently running lpg only. Lift 33s sliders bar winch rear bar gauges etc. Price is dependant on mods wanted. Pretty sure its locked at at least one end

Thanks Coxsy, Thats close to the kind of thing I am looking for but I ran that one through carjam and id have to say winston peters is more believable than that odometer reading. not too bothered if it had more miles on it but dont really like the fact that the owner doesnt appear afraid to try and hide things.

If it was a bit closer I might go have a look but from distance I wouldnt trust buying it.

You pretty much have to add another grand for anything off island anyway so you would want it to be a tip top truck to fork that over.

Hi there,

Im thinking of selling my Safari

1990 Nissan Safari Grandroad (LWB and Lowtop)
169,000kms
4.2 Diesel
Automatic
Black/Silver in colour has some little dents and scratches
Winch
24v - 12v Converter (40amp one)
Handles like a dream (previous owner did all teh suspension bushes and steering bushes).

No rust that i can find you are more than welcome to search it too. Never missed a beat.

Being non turbo its not the quickest on the road but its damn reliable.

Reason for sale: Selling my racecar soon so wont have a need for this 4x4.
