Full Throttle is being run in support of Dunlop Targa 2009 - which starts from the Pacific Events Centre

Aside from financial contraints, this sort of carry on is the 2nd reason why I refuse to join a club or participate in a sanctioned event.

Bullshit, politics and egos make me sad :cry:

As an update to the activities at Full Throttle, the 4x4 area will now also be used for motocross demos when the 4x4's are not using the tracks.

If you are planning to come out and play on Sunday or Monday, I'd be interested to hear from you so that we get some idea of numbers. It's free entry of course.

To compete as a driver you will need to be a NZFWDA member and have helmets for all on board.
There will be a short 'non-competition' trail too that won't require helmets.

Ok, so who's coming to race? :D

Some updated event info: http://www.nzfwda.org.nz/news/252

...but the news for this week is that we've now got a group of sponsors who've kindly put up some spot prizes which will be up for grabs for anyone who comes to race, drive the track, have their 4wd on display or help out with the running of the event.

They are...

* 4WDbits
* Superwinch (Traxion Distribution)
* Terrain Tamer (Don Kyatt)
* Trackwise 4WD
* Wurth

A big thank you must go to those organisations for their generosity!

Some of the clubs are having display tents - to try and con people into joining this addictive sport & recreation. And we're now sharing our track area with the motocross guys, so that should be entertaining.

I'm told that we've had a few of you register (thank you), but if you're thinking of taking part, visit the NZFWDA web site and email Peter so we know you're coming, and I'll see you out there.

Looking good, just a suggestion, I hear some trials trucks are making an appearence - some coming back espeically from the nationals in wanganui - trials hazard rules say no water hazards deeper than 1m, if you plan on making really deep water holes dont expect them to get in there. Crowds love seeing the mud fly - doesnt have to be stupidly deep. Mind you they may not care :lol:

Thanks for the tip Rex - we're definitely not going for 1+ metres deep, just looking for a good splash for the crowds and some mud flying, like you say.

And it seems we have plenty of people coming on Monday, so if anyone's planning on coming and wants the extra drive time, Sunday would be the better bet.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help or play. I had fun, and it seemed the crowd really enjoyed the show we put on.
