This is the format for the event.

Date March 6 & 7 2010.

Base camp Waikite Valley School

2 days, yes 2 days of fun, fourwheeldriving, good food and hotpools.

Day 1 Departure from the school at 10.00 am. Lunch on the edge of the lake at 1.pm. Return to the school around 4pm. Discounted entry into the Waikite Valley Thermal Pools, return for hangi meal at 6.00pm. 7.30 till later music and drinks in the hall.

We are hoping that most people will want to camp at the school for the night. The weather will still be warm so camping will be fun. If you don’t have a tent we could look at billeting people out which would be a great way to get to know the locals.



Day 2 Departure 9.30, lunch at 12.00, return to the school around 3.30 for afternoon tea then departure for home when ready.





The intention is that if we have more than 50 vehicles entered the group will be split into two and each group will go off in different directions and then swap tracks the next day so we can keep the number of vehicles down to avoid long delays. Vehicles must have a transfer case to be eligible to take part. No soft roaders. Tyres must be in good condition, vehicles with bald tires will not be allowed to take part. The intention is that it will be a bit tougher than last year but still passable with road tyres. If it is wet things may have to be changed or cancelled to the risk involved in going on farm tracks with road tyres. The numbers are going to be limited to 80 vehicles. Make sure you get in early if you want to take part.

Cost will be $120 per vehicle. If you only want to do 1 day the cost is $80 and we may need to spread the one day people over the two days. Food such as hangi and lunches will be on top. These will be very reasonably priced.
