The track was so slippery that on the hill it was nearly impossible to pull a winch rope out. I fell over many times and wayne had both feet slip and landed hard on his back and did injury.

Wayne reminded Jafa and myself that it wasn't his idea to do this F--king C--t of a track.

I know that track, is there still that really nasty climb where the rope is heading? I hated that track... we had 15 trucks to get through there... took forever!

I have transfered the video files of our Waitawheta trip onto a DVD last night .
It is 59 mins long of Mudzilla , Jafa and myself getting stuck

A few have asked for a copy so if anyone else wants one it will be $5 dollars to cover disc and postage.

Send me a PM if you want a copy.

Taz commented that after watching the DVD that Mudzilla's truck is like a coal train. :? :? :?

There is a story to this.

Wayne was having trouble with his glow plugs so to get at them we removed the air pipe from the intercooler.

When we replaced it, Wayne fitted his end to the manifold 8) 8) 8) but I didn't tighten the hose clip at the intercooler end so when the 30lbs boost came on it just blew off leaving the motor over fueled.

3 trucks from the Hawkes Bay went up there at labour weekend and went for a leisurely 20hour drive around Waitawheta .
We went to the deep creek crossing on the low road of the access track then straight out of the creek we turned left and went up there which i think is a little longer. Had lunch at the top of that hill before coming back out on to the main track.
Had tea at the top of the hill at the rock garden at 7pm. then down around the waterfall and out through the new deviation.
Lots of new dents!! One viscous fan hub that had to be locked up on a cruiser, 1 broken rear pan hard rod on a Safari and another cruiser with a dodgy clutch.
It was tough but we all had a ball :D
