93 Surf rolling body prices wanted

just putting the feelers out, trying to decide if a deal is worth doing or not.


What are my chances of finding a 1993-shape 1KZ surf body/chassis in registered condition for a half decent price? I've been offered a complete, de-reg surf as part trade for a Safari, but it can't be re-regd due to having about $30k owing on it

And, given i'm not really dodgy enough to do a tag swap, i figure my only valid option is wreck it or swap everything into a good body. I don't need another offroad-only truck, that's for sure.

Most of the ones i've seen on TM are either wrecked, rolled, or 2L-T.

What d'you guys reckon i'd be looking to pay for a registered body?

I bought a 91 surf with a 3lt v6 which had a cracked head. Only bought it to use the body on my stuffed 84 surf and payed 1100 for it. Was still reg'd and wof and had absolutely no rust, and fingers crossed it still doesn't.
