iv got a 1995 escudo, 16v injected motor and a auto behind it.
wen you start the vehicle it is ok, but wen u go to take off it pulls like a snail. no acceleration, still driveable but i could probly out run it. i was told these have problems with the front pipe collapsing, so i took that off, its fine, ive checked timing on bottom crank pulley and its ok,
fuel pressure seems fine, im stumped...
can u do a home style flash code check on these?
any helpo appreciated thanks adam

Not sure if this will help. G16A Suzuki diagnosed today with moving pulley on cam shaft. I imagine that has done all sorts of damage? Are these an interference engine?
Need another engine maybe. Not sure if it's common. Suffered not very much power but would start and run ok.

Could it be the cam belt has slipped and now you are way off with timing etc. Weemsy had a similar issue I think a while back.
Timing light and see what that tells ya or whip the cover off the cam belt and check the marks on the pulleys.

And breathe a bit easier, they are a non-interference engine so it shouldn't have suffered damage in the top end.

scudboy here in hams had a problem similar i think- it was his cam belt pully spinning on the end of the crank. Also check the dizzy and plug holes/leads for water and cracks.
phone Ross Bolus (secretary of the BOP club) He'll save you.
