Re: Colyton this weekend. whats happening?!?
Was good to catch up with the 4 mouskeeteers from Wellington and put a vague face to the names. I did mention to Skid that they wereon site and he told me to lock up my beer and my Cat if I happened to have brought it as well
I thought it was a well run day seemed to be very organized but the wind was a little cool and we broke that bottom arm 3 times babied it left hand front shock stuffed and with the bend in the arm the left wheel is back about 2 inches compared to the right hand side

Re: Colyton this weekend. whats happening?!?
We started the day by blowing our rear diff on our 2nd hazard
.After finally finding a replacement the welly boys arrived and proceeded to fit the replacement diff and in no time we were away, very grateful to Reese ,marty, Graeme, Malcolm, and Jerry (instant pit crew) for the help
In the afternoon still with 8 hazards to go we blew a front diff
.After replaceing that and with bugger all time left we zoomed around the last 8 hazards and managed to complete the day

Re: Colyton this weekend. whats happening?!?
Rolled twice (morning and afternoon).
Bent side bar on cage, bent bullbar, minor body damage.
Oh - and lost my dipstick - which is not great when you have a pressurised crank case.
Didn't lose too much oil before we noticed it - blocked it with a bolt, some duct tape and a small hose clamp. Got a text last night from Dan Cowper to say that someone had picked it up and given it to him...
No other probs. Starting to get the hang of my truck, but plenty more learning to do.

one hint is to use the wheels more, more traction than the roll cage i believe

Gee there was a heap of damage and roll overs this round. Nearly everyone either rolled, or broke something, or both.

well i did not roll (not due to lack of trying) and technically did not break, how ever the lockers did go on strike and refuse to work properly, so out they come on thur night and get rebuilt and sorted.

hey am working on that problem

in theory by next trial, 2 reliable diff locks, rear shocks that work, new airbags setup in rear, and a maybe a few other "changes"
