How to cut the guards on my XJ Cherokee

Post by sneek010 »

Hi, I have just tried to fit 32x11.5 to my xj which has a 2" Lift kit, but when a turned the wheels they crash into the guards, can you explain to a total novice how I go about cutting the guards? Step by Step please.

Try this http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101158. However it is a bit old and the photo links are broken. HOwever I have a pdf that I could email you if you send me your email address by PM. I have done my front guards, but not the rear ones yet.

Cheers

way safer, less stressful and easier using a cheap jig saw with a steel cutting blade.

ahahahaha. its surprisingly easy. Just mark out the cut with a clear sharp line and take it real slow.

Sadly I am afflicted by the left-handedness... same thing happens when slicing bread with a serrated knife. Come to think of it, the same thing has been known to happen while driving!

(and youre welcome around any time, providing you supply the ginger beer!)
