canterbury xmas eve evening trip

ran this last xmas eve and it was great looking to get even more people together this year,there are pics from last year on here somewhere.Not a serious trip just a fun trip,trucks need rated tow hooks,and some basic recovey gear

meet at picnic area just before bridge leaving 7pm sharp
ashley track from rangiora bridge upstream pop out at okuku bridge
on my 3rd POS 70 cruiser still havent learnt

Sounds great.pencil me in...nothing like some forward planning....but would be more mud etc if done as a mid-winter xmas run & maybe a 10am start

shit dean i'll have my truck fixed and then broken and then fixed again about 10 times over by then, so ill express my interest but can't confirm at this stage :lol:

yea me 2 but xmas eve has always been boring and last year i feel i left it a bit late to get a trip planned :oops: sooo this year i thought id get sorted :twisted: .was good last time,i didnt wana go home :lol:

yea there are some new awesome holes down there now,but if your not keen then you can just stick to the basic track,the basic track is very easy,depending on river flow a snorkel may be required,but you can pick shallow crossings,at this stage i will meet everyone at the rossiters road entrance just over the rangiora bridge around the sweeping bend to the lef and then its a left turn just down from there,its a no exit road with the riverbed at the end,reason for this is my ute is no longer road registerd,i can organise for someone to meet at the grass area and who knows how to get to rossitors road and bring others down
