Has any one done the research into this? seems that pumps can be purchased with 3000psi plus and 30+ gpm. by using a ramsey 10000lb hydraulic winch and a motor that produced 14gpm at 2000psi line speed of 32 fpm could be achieved. Was thinkin of like a 12v hydro pump from elec forklift? vvega this is right up your ally
swb lux with 7mge, trailgear crossover, trailgear rear lift kit, custom front bar, runva 1200lb winch, custom snorkel, 37" Mtrs, custom deck, lockright in the rear.
answer is yes BUT current draw is a big issue .. and battery wieght/cost would be killer
IMO the trick to making winches faster is to biff the conventional motor on them and chuck on a bent axis piston motor they will spin to 8000 rpm and take 3000 psi of pressure ... while producing more hp through greater effecency ... trouble is cost ... 8 g a pop ...
all the winch motors ive seen sofar are max rated @ 1250 rpm burst ... some of the superwinch rates higher and so dose the type r winches .... but none come even close to bent axis
