ORE under another domain name! Theft

Hi All,

So since i've been away its come to my attention that there are some out there in the 4wd community who think they can just take ORE and slap another domain name on it and pass it off as another 4wd community website. Well I've asked the domain registrar people to stop this and they have ignored me. So I'm taking a naming and shaming route and posting the details freely available via the registrars website. Anybody know these people? I know who one of them is, seems to be a common trouble maker in the 4wd world

The domain is ***** but be warned that if you go to it now you will be confronted with a horrific image located on a french website.

How long that image is up for depends upon how long they keep trying to cloak ORE or how long the domain name registrar allows the continued cloaking (theft) of ORE with a complaint lodged.

The contact details for the persons who own this domain are easily available from the http://www.discountdomains.co.nz website using their domain search function.

ORE is not redirecting traffic for this domain, instead it detects if ANY domain is embedding ORE (ie passing it off as its own) and redirects it to another site.

Have just sent Mike several e-mails in their entirety that I received from "The management" of that website when it first tried to kick off when barge-arse got banned form ORE. They were all in relation to myself and several other ORE members being administrators and helping promote the site and build it up.

I got banned from it after a couple of days when it became transparently obvious Lawson had some major connection with it, and I started doing some serious questioning of "Management" and "who" owned the site.

ORE is detecting that 4wdforum.co.nz has embedded ORE on that 4wdforum.co.nz domain name and therefore ORE is redirecting off to that dodgy site any traffic that comes from it. I was overseas till this morning and didnt realise fully what had happened till I got back and Mark kindly pointed out what was going on.

It's not really pulling strings, pretty much every hosting provider in NZ has rules about objectional content and copyrighted material. All you need to do is lodge a complaint and the site will be taken down until its sorted out.
