Ocean Beach shiny, bbq on the 6th December

Sausage Sizzle will be supplied,soft drinks etc

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THIS TRIP.

10.30 meeting at Featherston, Ocean beach turnoff ,

10.45 quick briefing

Travel to Ocean beach, via sand spit (dunes are off limits due to bird sanctuary)

Speed limit on the beach is 50kph

Children must be under close supervision here due to very bad undertow in shallow water

mosey on towards monument plaque, lunch/dive/fish....

there are little areas to play in ya 4x4 they will be pointed out

no rush no fuss trip

Cost: $5 per truck and gold coin donation towards kiwi 4x4 bbq, all visitors welcome

Safety Requirements: First aid kit,most tyres will have to be aired down on sand

Preferred if possible: Hooks,strops,at tyres,fire ex,......

the weather lookin bloody good thus far i suggest sun tan lotion and sunnys

What a fantabulas day!! Got burnt again so now I am really paying for it.... stupid sunblock....

Anyways, day started out with a bonnet up then 2 monutes down the road another bonnet up different truck this time... frozen bearing.. nothing like a bit of crc and oil to get that sorted! On the road again, no problems until we get to the beach... then somone forgot to engage 4x4..... couldn't get it up could you granddad ducks for cover

Made our way round to a nice picnic area where it was steak and sausage sandwichs for lunch. The it was time to play, found a hill climb, we all had a go or two, Mal managed to brake something...

Don't think that is too important is it?

On the way back we took the first river bed and had a small play up there.. climbed to the top and took a couple of photo's.





Time to head home, airing up and my on board air decided it had done enough after 4 trucks and blew the water trap apart! no more air now..

All in all it was a great day, thanks Taz for sorting this and thanks to all that came on the trip..
