Ok been looking at safari's just wondering what the 3.3L dsl is like you seem to beable to pick them up pretty cheap and high or low roof? auto or manual?

IMO low roofs look better. Other people may prefer the high roofs though.

As far as trips go, don't worry about not being able to keep up, we are pretty cruisy, and its about having fun, so if ya get stuck, we pull you out. No drama. Thats why its good to go with Wopass, with his HUGE winch, he's the official GQ Rescue Service

A guy down the road from me imported a 91 Safari, 3" lift, 35's , beadlockers, adj. panhards etc and had it on the road for $6k from memory

Only had 125k on the clock, and looked as though it hadn't even been off road. Shame he didn't put a snokel on though because its been sitting on the side of the road with a hydrauliced motor for the last few weeks

Came up with the bright idea of buying another truck to thrash about on weekends to save the Safari a little, only cost $1500, just needs a bit of a tune and I'll be out there
