We agreed that a supercharger is the way to go.

I disagree
maybe if he spent the time driving it off road instead of forever improving it, then he may get to see what he does and doesn't need.
most folks would kill just to have a dirty ol tree fiddy in a 40, let alone and injected 300kw one.
drive it Pete, iron out the leckie gremlins and start putting some off road kms on the clock
my $700.02 worth ( bloody ACC levies)

mate if it was built as a tow wagon you should have put a bloody 4.2 diesel turblow in it

Driving a little 4 cyl toyota rental instead of the FJ40 V8. told me a had only used quarter of a tank of petrol so miles cheaper than the 40.
I have to say it didn't sound as nice as the 40
We agreed that a supercharger is the way to go. He has one in the offroader running 10 lbs of boost.
Cheers Richard

It had to be a V8 wopass coz it had to be faster than my twin bros V8 40.

What do you mean by "pwn" wopass? (excuse my ignorance)
You're talking sense there Gary. Supercharging the Clubby pos n not the 40. But i think the next thing to do on the clubby is a paint job. Same colour. Just new front bumper, side skirts to bring it back to mint condition. She's going ok, just needs to look the part coz it's looking like the 40, rough.(opps, back to the thread)
There's a little bit of piston slap in the LS1. Compression is still ok. But when i get new pistons n rings next year i think I'll go for a mild cam. Not a stage three (as I have in the Clubby as that's a pain to drive everyday) but just a small one to give it a little more go down low.

not quite my cup of tea, but each to there own and its still a tidy bit of bar work.

the winch set up on the bro's new bar looks great and the inner core part of the barlooks mint, but as new and shiney as it is, the double bar across the bottom looks odd.. perhaps from chassis rails goin up to meet the top bar would have been better for approach angles etc?
then again, whats it used for? towing and road stuffs? then thats more than sufficient..

I recon they look pretty cool.
