LN61 LIFT

Post by skux »

Ive got a ln61 surf with aftermarket rear leaf springs, shackles and 100mm trailmaster shocks. But i need it around 2inches higher? So the front can be cranked up as it has a bolt on IFS lift kit making the front subframe lower but actaul truck higher. So we are going to make the front higher for ground clearance but im not sure what to do in the back.. Thanks

A Blacksmith/Springmaker can re arch your springs, be aware that they may sag again after a while.
You could make your rear shackles 100mm longer but that will give you a very soft rear end.
Alternatively, sell your rear springs and buy a set of 50mm raised rear springs

Why do you want to go higher ?

It doesn't matter how much lift you go at the back you are not gaining anything because it is ground clearance under the diff that counts.

All you will do is stuff up articulation and with a higher centre of of gravity make it fall over

My diff aint dragging at the moment though, its the fact i keep getting bellyed from the front being too low. But i dont want the truck sitting on a mad angle cause ive raised the front but not the back as much.
Its not going to be stupid high, also this is a everyday truck aswell.

blocks would work but handbrake cable would probably have 2 b moved. probably b the cheapest option.
