Maybe soon you can run in the same class!! We may have to do a bit more to the hybrid first though! However I have a nice turbo sitting on the floor and an ecu that might give the CA18 an extra couple hundred HP! Might be a bit laggy but the top end would be about the same as my old truck!

But seriously, what are you going to do with the ecu?
Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.

Depends how silly I get with the boost, the computer thats on it runs fairly rich, so theres a bit of fuel there to play with & and i can upgrade to 315cc injectors without changing computer if it does start to lean out.

its ok for short bursts .. but hold it under load for a extended period and the timming will kill it quite quickly
you will get about 27-32 degrees advance under full load ... when really you want about 10-15 to be safe and not have det issues

get a cheap link lem off trademe .. 500 bucks... you can wire it yourself and it will save you a pile of hassle on money in the long term
to put it in perspective
in the same car ... a m90 a 1uz and a link

n/a 153kw @ the wheels
s/c 2 psi 20 deg timing 160kw @the wheels
s/c 6 psi max 15 deg timing 190kw @the wheels .. on stock injectors ..
lem 5 link

you have the fueling .. its only the timming i woudl be concerned with ... perhaps stick it in diag mode and lock it @ 10 degrees ?

Theres more work going into the rest of the truck too, especially the suspension, gonna make it handle properly, cause at the moment its a bit of a dog.
Until thats sorted the supercharger will just be a ornament on the bench

What are the handling issues?
wandering, bump steer, death wobble, ride harshness, body roll, rear end bounce or hopping ? Or something else entirely. I had all of the above with my last rig with exception of the ride being harsh. It was impossible to drive it at any more than 50 kph as the death wobble was fierce (enough to break a tie rod). But it was awesome for rock crawling. The new one will lose out on some of the effectiveness of the old one due to it being road legal.

The problem with suspension rebuilds is that even with all the homework you do and understanding you may gain, You have to build it and finish it to try it out and see if it is going to work :?
Good luck with that, and flick up some pics of what you are up to.

Love your truck..Awesome.
I've got a lex in my 70 running the 5spd.. heading towards running a auto too..Wanting to go the next level truck. question?
The Prado auto..just plug and play? didn't have to change any plugs/fittings from the lex loom?or just plugin? Also lookin for a lux cab 2dr for a 80 series rolling chassis to build up a hell truck(auto)with all the stuff...
Very clean build..grats

Prado plugs were different to the lexus plugs on the engine wiring that i had, but we just worked out which wires did what and swapped them over into the plugs.
