centre diff lock

does the centre diff lock work in high range and also can it be turned of in low range.on my 80 series once low range is selected centre diff light comes on and it doesnt turn of by pushing the button, in high range you can.

my 80 doesnt have i center difflock button so im not 100% sure but i have seen in others and also other cars like the surf thats how it is

Yes it can. search for it on google. you remove one wire out of the trans computer (I think) plug

You unplug a connector that sit's ontop off the transfer case.

If you lie on your back looking at the rear output flange of the t.case, you will see two plug's sitting on top of the rear of the t.case, one plug at 12 o'clock and the other at about 2 o'clock.

Its the plug that sit's at about 2 o'clock that you unplug.

All that does, is make the diff lock selectable via the switch on the dash. The diff lock will only operate if you press that switch.

It will no longer come on automatically when you move the transfer case leaver in low range.

Awesome for manovering trailers :D :D :D :D
