Surf 1993 Central Locking Wont unlock ????

hey ....
I have a 1993 surf 3.0dt
the central locking will Lock but not Unlock ...
The button On the drivers control panel does the same as The key .. Locks but not unlocks.

Any Ideas on where to start ...

When it locks ya hear the click under the dash , could it be this part that is only working one way?
I have a Multimetre Im not too clued on using it with troubleshooting.

sorted.org was a Broken wire in the loom where door opens and closes..

drivers door?, I had to rewire mine at the drivers door hinges, the loom had given out there big time, power windows, central locking, and mirrors......maybe a common fault

yip drivers door .. looked untouched and broken just by general wear and door opening and closing .. so could be a fault to eventualy pop up in others
