installing water temp guage

hi guys i relly want to keep an eye on the watertemp, the factory one only shows hot and cold, so i dont knoe how hot is hot, so whats the correct way to install a external temp guage the ones that actually have a tempatuer displayed, id stick it on the dash, so how have you guys done it and where did you hook the sensor to?

easy as cut top rad hose and fit a 38mm metal adapter inline ,and fit ur new sensor in the adapter,

adapters sold on trade me,think from memory they are 38mm

thanks, where do u atttach the 12v wire to, since im on 24v,will it still work? or do i have to find something thats runs 12v in the car or ger a reducer or somethingy like that

12volt wire for what the bulb ?? na put a 24v bulb in

oh so is it only for the light?
so i dont relly need to hook power up to it if i dont want the light?

can anyone confirm the internal pipe size 38mm or 40mm??? just so i dont have to take it off till i put in the sensor
