Finished replacing the clutch in the '89 SWB Saf with a 4Terrain heavy duty beast a few weeks ago.

Got a warrant and gave her a good service.

Took her out over Red Rocks as a tester on the day before XMas, ran really well and was proper stoked with the clutch. Silky smooth. :D

Cruised up to the Mungatuks this arvo to do a few hill climbs and give the clutch a workout. Went through a relatively small puddle (around a metre or so deep and 7 - 10 metres long). As I got about half way through and she stalled for the first time ever

Now I read the whole story about Skid's submarine and learned a valuable lesson and was planning on getting a snorkel as soon as the next paycheck came through in Jan.

Opened up the air filter and yep, you guessed it... found bloody water inside  1 x conrod through the side of the block later and she's going to be parked up in the garage till I can find a cheap-ish running TD42 (T preferable).

Massive thanks to Chris and Phil who towed me out and got me to the Mobil station so I could get my sorry ass towed back home.

I now know exactly how Skid felt. Huge condolences.

Rewired truck this afternoon, then finished blinging it with chassis black. Changed fuel pump and filter, put on nice new snorkel. Yay about to go back out there and put the draglink kit in, screw the trans cover down trace some wires for fuel tank and reverse, then hopefully some sleep

Oh yeah, then install a couple of gauges too.

Put my locker into the new diff (cheers skid!) then bolted everything together. Thinking about taking the truck out for some camping over new years.

Been up the Okuku nearly every day for a swim and a sit in the sun in peace and quiet. The girls have grown up doing that so love it as much as me! To me that river is paradise. And thank god I can drive my vehicle to the good places and not be limited to near the bridge with everyone else!!!

Not really last weekends achivements not really this weekends achivements but it is a achivement!

Was told that I would be getting my Xmas present after the day so I was happy, what I didn't know that I was getting so many presents!

First I get told I have these new front and rear speakers, new FM antenna,

3 inch rear springs, already have the shocks in so this will help heaps! No more tyre rubbing.

been working on the poptop getting a few more things sorted, got more than carried away with the welder, grinder and other sacraficial tools in the garage, the poptop bow sports a repositioned 9kg gas cyl, jockey wheel moved, nice large trunk on the drawbar, and new gas lines front and rear which run all accessories
OK so it's not 4wheelin' but I use it for that on the coast
Oh and besides that i've been working, shift work can be a bugger at times especially in a 24hrs 7days a week workplace, gotta work tomorrow as well
