Akatarawa Forest - 3/1/10

Post by SV1K »

03/01/2010 - 09:30 - 20:00

Grade 3 - 5 not shiny but not hard yakka

Meet at Totara Park gate at 9:30am, drivers briefing 5 minutes then into the forest.

We will be going over the Pram track to the Orange hut, then there is the chance of the Ruts for those that want to do them or you can take the road if you would prefer. Soft tops on trucks may get ripped, better you take them off or take the road.

The to the fence line track for a play in the mud, lunch at the top hill scenic look out over Kapati Island way.

Next stop may be manufactures challenge (in the pines) for a looksie, after this we will assess the situation and see what else people want to do.

$15.00 for association members, $20.00 for non-members. ID will be required for all, please bring your KIWI4X4 membership card.

Towhooks are required for this trip as are all the normal safety equipment, fire extinguisher, strops, first aid kit etc, etc.

If you bring a friend they are YOUR responsibility, I.E. they get stuck, you get them out with YOUR gear.

Looking forward to this one as I have just about finished the setup on my truck!
