Well this w/end turned to crap.....

Started to do timing belts on my Mitsy and found out I was supplied the wrong parts..... :x

OK, so then had to drop the missus off to work so I could use her zooki to swap the wrong bits etc.....then that pos starts to miss like a buggery..... :x :x
Just another job to look at.... :x :x :x

So I go to the place I got the parts from, found out they are closed till Tuesday.... :x :x :x :x

I give up.... time to start drinking - again

Hope everyone else has better luck!

Got back from Mitimiti yesterday, unpacked a crapload of gear that im sure we didnt need. Tried to fix a window zipper to no avail, tried to replace an RT antenna to no avail, so go the shits and headed to repco, bunnings and Supercheapto spend some money. Making some more sliders tomorrow, hopefully.

went for a blat down to Ashhurst River.

Them some deep ruts down there now and managed to convince a couple of visiting aucklanders that the windows didn't work so they got covered in mud

Was good to have a bit of a blow out and get the truck back in the shed without damage.

First rains and they will be back..... and then you will moan anew.... just like the rest of us.. lawns should be banned during summer, weekends, and public holidays.

Made spacers for the gen 2 arms to put a more neutral camber into the wheels to ease the wear on the tires, put 15 more turns on the torsion bars, installed 2 tow hooks andbought a tug strap.

Went to the "Fun Trials" and took almost 500 pics in the rain, great time.

post some up .......

Fun trial was good fun, sig and boys got loose in the V8, sig disappeared on the first corner in the speed section into the scrub, had to get towed out of his hole, a couple of uncontrolled donuts by others, a couple of rolls, parking on a steep sidling will do that to a vehicle, others climbing trees has similar effects, loads of muds, long hazards, i had a crash course in a e class truck in the suicide seat, stayed upright for the day, which is good for Cleary, excellent day put on by windy club,

cheers

Did the upper Selwyn river with a few mates(4 vehicles),was great to get the truck out and start getting use to the manual trans and just drive the dam thing.
River was soft in places, deep in others with a few banks to climb made a great day out.

well put a few more vids up wthen I get them off there others
