Supercheap has about 3 tire repair kits like that + refill packs.

I've never had to use my kit- its just sitting in my recovery bag.

My kit came with a bunch of rubber vulcanized strips, some rubber cement, a hole reamer/file and a T handle insertion tool that is like a steel shaft with a hole in the end (like the hole in a needle) and a handle on the other end (used to push/pull the rubber strip into the hole)

Fairly easy to use i would imagine and nearly look forwards to an excuse to pull it out

There are instructions in the kit. It was under 30$ IIRC so cheap enough to buy just in-case.

I also have a pair of needle nose pliers in there for if i need to pull something like a nail or sharp rock out of the tire.

Saw one of these type kits used at Waitangi Weekend when we were going over the Mackley to Denniston on the Westcoast.
Oneof the guys got a nail in his sidewall....pulled out the nail....reemed the hole....put in the rubber thing....sealed it perfectly.

But i understand these are only a temp fix as they arent good enought to last for too long.

I've got a BFG on my truck that I repaired a screw hole with these kits about 4 years ago, still holding great.
