13-14 Jan

Post by Moriarty »

Sure, NOT a weekend....

Reece (Suzuki1K) needed/wanted to do some track maintainance in the Aka's so Jumper and went along to bury the body if he hurt himself.
Second day, needed to take a bit of gear so decided to drive in.... a mission, to say the least!!

Saw THIS at the end of the track. sorta caught my eye!!

Then I looked back at his Truck and he was playing silly buggers.....

Underneath is gonna take some cleaning

We left moonshine road at 8:15 on the 14th, after waiting for people who said they might come, so the two of us departed, 20 something K's later we stopped for lunch having reached the place where we were building the bypass. I didnt take the camera/phone dingus in with me, left it in MY truck, which remained clean and in one piece, poor little thing is not man enuff to get into there!! So fotos of that work done will have to wait until next time.

Only 35 to 40 meters to go and it will be complete.....

It's after midnight, so it is the weekend but I'll post it here anyway :D

Been working on the new alloy fuel tank for the hilux most nights this week.

Image

Put rivnuts in the surge tank for the high pressure pump.

Image

high pressure pump in place.

Image

here you can see the baffle and the pick up in the middle of it. There is a tube running from the outlet to the pickup hole. no matter what angle it's on there will be fuel rushing between the two chambers and into the pickup.

Image

this is an inspection cover and will also hold the fuel level sender, don't you hate being one fastener short
