Get it reco-ed. They will bore it out and insert a stainless or bronze line. No more corrosion problems, especially if the truck sits for a while....

3 places that do this in Chch, I am sure you will find somebody in Jafaland
If nobody else knows, Ollie at Sterling Brake definitely will.

I need to do this to my brake master Cyl soon.

I did reco it then found that there is slight damage to the actual cylinder, leak is so slow it takes about 24 hours for enough air to stop clutch working, took 3 bleeds and alot of swearing before I found it. not much fluid gets out the leak it's so small.
So need a whole new one.

Did you just hone the bore or was it re-machined?
If properly re conditioned via remachining and a new sleeve correctly installed, then you should have no leaks.

If this was done, and by a professional company and you still have an issue, then you have every right to ask them to make your cylinder good. In whatever shape that may take, i.e. them re-reconditioning it, or them replacing it.

I can't see why it would need replacing though as the remachining process, if done properly, generally makes for a better cylinder than new.

My one has the dampner on the bottom, also where the booster goes if it has one, where the two parts attach is where the leak is, remachine will not change this problem. Just need a new one
