You need to get some offset caster correction bushes for your radius arms

The eccentric bushes have differing amounts of nolathane around them thus limiting flex. That and the fact that they are nolathane as opposed to rubber, puts me off these. They will flex much less than the original ones. The big problem with any Prado. They will also wear out Way quicker.

I can't for the life of me see why the certifiers don't like pressing the arms back to 5 degrees like the original modifiers of the Prado's did. This system works fine and as an engineer I dont see any stress related problems.

The simplest way would be to make a set of drop boxes like the Saffis use. This will get both your kingpin angulation back to the correct 5 degrees or so and change the 'instant centre angle' which enables better climbing. I dont know why we dont see these drop boxes mentioned for the Toyotas. Does anyone know?

Topping that would be to get a set of Superior flex arms. They now make them for the 80 series Toyos as well as the saffis, so you will get a Heap more flex with those. I dont see why they wont make them for a Prado.
Check out the Superior Engineering site; http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/i ... ?pag_id=24

Why did you do a body lift as well as the 4" lift springs? I know several Prados running 35 simex's with just the suspension lift.

Bill (WjW) will know about this as he runs 35's and turned rims, but have you replaced your steering dampener with a stronger one?

I suspect all the extra leverage of the much heavier, larger and more offset wheel & tyre combo will make the factory steering shock next to useless.

Hi yah

I have a KZJ78 also.
I have just (been naughty) corrected mine by moving the hole on the forward attachment on the axle down by 14mm...(Cut off flange and welded new one on.)
This has the effect of rotating the axle back into position.
I used to run off set bushes, fine for onroad work but after a few years of off road work they flogged out.
I threw some std rubber bushes back in (The Mount Shop, nissan ones).
Intil the mod...it used to wander all over the road....
Now its back to factory.....
If you do the off set bushes, you will need a good hyraulic press to get them out....mine took several ton to move em....

Have fun

Hi Calvin
The Mount Shop? I have heard of a place in Auckland that sells genuine rubber suspension bushes at prices that are more realistic. Is this it? Do you have any contact details?

My rear axle bushes are shagged - 200k so need to replace these for next err last warrant.

I am not sure if this is the place but I cannot complaine about the prices...Best I could find.

Mount shop details

27 B Paramount Dve Hendn 0-9-836 2304
440 Church St Pnrse 0-9-579 5965

I used the Nissan bushes for the radius arm bushes that connect to the axle. (pair)
The winch challenge boys use them and they last well.....
For club trucks they should be last better.
Price was good....
Part number 28H005, 60mm dia, 40mm wide, center bush 16 dia hole and bush is 49.5 mm long. (toyota is 50mm but whats .5mm)
Toyota number is 37H043 but told rubber not as good as the nissan variant.
I picked up a full catalouge, its amazing what other bushes and stuff they have.

Depending on which bush is shagged on yours....Give them a ring with the sizes and they should be able to help....

Nice to deal with.

Cheers
