on what vehicle bro?

in the case of the cruisers i know you can get away with grinding the callipers carefully bit by bit untill you have clearance  not the flashest way of doing things but i have done it in the past and worked sweet as

its a 93 cruiser and apparently toyota put on bigger callipers the rims are a -19 offset problem with gring is that it catches where callipers are bolted

take the tyres off and get the rims centers moved to get clearances or reverse the centers on the rim as the outside edge islarger in diameter than the inside redrill the valve and a good paint nobody would be any wiser

I was given a set of Nissan rims to try on my cruiser and they wouldn't clear the brake calipers.

Traditional steel "speedy" rims will fit. They are the cheapest "new" option. I have 15x8's on my '91 Cruiser.
